I have started a couple crochet projects recently. I like knitting better, but my hand doesn't. Take into account that it takes so much longer to make the same amount of progress, and crochet is just a better match for me right now. So I started on a blanket for the back of Russell's vehicle. I'm working on a blanket for June at the same time (well, more the blanket for June because the yarn is softer and silkier and easier to use and I'm kind of all about the easy option). Since I like the cool stuff you can do with knitting and wish crochet could do the same thing, and since June already has a rather nice collection of my crocheted blankets, I looked for something easy-yet-interesting to do this time. Enter the Easy Ripple Blanket!!
It's working up really quickly, and of course June already loves it. Or she was just really worn out after our little walk tonight and just happened to collapse on what there is of it to collapse on... Either way, I'm having fun with my crochet hook. It's nice to have something to do to keep my hands busy, and something I can work on over my lunch break. There's just something satisfying about knowing there's a crochet hook in my purse.
